- Yesterday, the US Patent Office dealt a blow to Washington's football team when it ruled the team could no longer hold the patent on the name "Redskins." Washington owner Dan Snyder still holds firm on using the team name. Jim Braude and Margery Eagan asked listeners whether we should still have this conversation in 2014.
- Mass. gubernatorial candidate Charlie Baker was back in Studio Three to talk about his bid for governor. Baker faces a challenge within his own party from businessman Mark Fisher. The winner will face either Attorney General Martha Coakley, State Treasurer Steve Grossman or former Medicare administrator Donald Berwick in the general election.
- WGBH science editor Heather Goldstone joined Jim and Margery to talk about new ocean sanctuary designations by Pres. Obama. The new sanctuary will be constituted of nearly 800,000 square miles of protected ocean in the Pacific.
- Boston Globe columnist Alex Beam talked about Orange is the New Black, prison reform and what happens when "beautiful people" end up behind bars. Beam wrote about it in his new column.
