  •  During yesterday’s memorial for the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings, survivor Adrianne Haslet-Davis said: “My wish -- if I were allowed to grant one -- is that we use this day, not just as a day of remembrance, but a day of action.” Should April 15th become a day of service to others? How can we integrate service like that into our daily lives? Jim and Margery took your calls.
  • Boston Globe editor Brian McGrory joined us to talk about his newspaper’s recent Pulitzer win for their coverage of the Boston Marathon bombings.
  • Medical ethicist Art Caplan of New York University’s Langone Medical Center says recycling medical devices is not as gross as you think. Plus, he broke down the recent case of an infant who became seriously ill while on an around-the-world cruise  - should her parents be held accountable?
  • Globe columnist Alex Beam is like a beamer with a 6-cylinder engine: not only does his writing move you, but aggression has never been expressed with such dignity. Beam was on hand to discuss his new favorite pastime of perusing newspaper obituaries - or, as Margery affectionately dubbed them, “the Irish sports pages.”
  • Jonathon Alsop of the Boston Wine School offered up a way to participate in next week’s marathon festivities for the less athletic among us: drinking Greek wine (in honor, of course, of the first marathon.) His pick is Skouras’s ZOE White. We’ve heard it’s a great way to replenish those electrolytes.
