You know his music — if you've been lucky enough, you may have even seen him perform. But what you may not know is that successful musician Walter Beasley's love for jazz is matched only by his love for teaching. For many years, Beasley has done both right here in Boston.

When Beasley first came to Boston to study at the Berklee College of Music, he never intended to stay. Instead, his plan was to get a record deal and move back home to California. But something happened along the way — and even after getting his record deal, Beasley never went home.

Beasley stopped by Greater Boston's studio to discuss music, his passion for teaching, and why he has made Boston his longtime home.
