When your house is in desperate need of a fix me up, there may not be a resource for home repair tips and tricks more trusted than the experts on This Old House.

The show’s 40th season premieres Thursday on WGBH channel 2 at 8 p.m. The episode will show how a 1920s bungalow in Rhode Island is turned into a net-zero house, a house that makes all the energy it needs.

One of the hosts of This Old House, Kevin O’Connor, and an authority on net-zero houses, president and CEO of Sweenor Builders, Jeff Sweenor, joined Boston Public Radio to talk about the premiere and to take all your home repair questions.
