For his latest PBS series, EARTH A New Wild, emmy-nominated documentary host and scientist Dr. M. Sanjayan traveled to more than 25 countries across all corners of the globe.

He went paragliding with Griffon Vultures over the Himalayas, snowmobiled through the remote Arctic, and traversed the "intangible zone" in the Ecuadorian Amazon.

All of it was prelude, however, to his recent adventure deep into the wilds of the WGBH Newsroom, where he sat down with The Curiosity Desk's Edgar B Herwick III to share a few of his remarkable tales.
