Presented by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) Boston/New England Chapter, the awards are dedicated to fostering creative leadership in the television industry and encouraging excellence in artistic, educational, cultural, and technical progress. -
GBH Announces Season 3 Premiere of PBS KIDS Series PINKALICIOUS & PETERRIFIC
BOSTON (June 18, 2021) - PBS Kids and Boston public media producer GBH today announced the season 3 premiere of PBS KIDS’ PINKALICIOUS & PETERRIFIC. This season will feature 10 brand new half-hour episodes on PBS KIDS. The first three episodes of the new season will debut on June 18 from 7:00-8:30 PM/6:00-7:30 PM CT as part of PBS KIDS Family Night on the PBS KIDS 24/7 channel and streaming on PBS KIDS digital platforms . -
Belmont High School Wins High School Quiz Show Season 12 State Championship
BOSTON (June 21, 2021) – Belmont High School has earned the Season 12 State Championship trophy on GBH’s High School Quiz Show®. Veteran competitor Belmont took on two-time defending champions Boston Latin School in a tight match, ultimately coming out ahead with a final score of 1070 to 1060 points in the season finale which premiered Saturday, June 19, 2021. -
GBH News Wins Six Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards Including Second Consecutive Win For Overall Excellence
BOSTON (May 6, 2021) – GBH News has won six Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards, including the Overall Excellence award for the second year in a row. The public media outlet is the first recipient of the new Excellence in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion award, and also was recognized in the categories of Feature Reporting TV, Sports Reporting, Investigative Reporting and Excellence in Sound. -
GBH and JazzBoston Team Up to Celebrate International Jazz Day on Friday, April 30
BOSTON (April 15, 2021) – Boston public media producer GBH and JazzBoston are teaming up to celebrate International Jazz Day. GBH’s Eric Jackson will host JazzNOW: No Borders, a free live virtual performance on Friday, April 30 at 8 pm. Live from the acoustically acclaimed GBH Fraser Performance Studio, the event will feature the Jazz World Trio, a group of three international artists each with a strong Boston tie. The video performance streams to the GBH website.
