This year’s Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month forum focuses on the alarming rise of violence against Asian Americans. Our panel of experts will discuss the history, current statistics and definition of hate crimes. Resources for emotional support and crime reporting will be provided, as well as steps that individuals can take to become allies and advocates in support of local Asian American and Pacific Islander populations. Today’s event also includes a recorded conversation between acclaimed author Amy Tan and GBH Trustee Pam Eddinger, President of Bunker Hill Community College.
