What better time to put you in the catbird's seat than International Cat Day, established in 2002 by IFAW, the International Fund for Animal Welfare, among other animal rights groups, to celebrate the most popular pet on the planet. Scratch yourself behind the ears, have a good stretch and let out a contented purr. And think about the stray kitties who could use a kind touch, too.
