  • Peter White, founder and former president of The Southern Center for International Studies, graduated from Fordham University, attended the Academy of International Law at The Hague and the National War College. He has more than thirty years of experience in international programming, and advises a number of governors, university, and state government officials and corporations.
  • Steve Oney was educated at the University of Georgia and at Harvard, where he was a Nieman Fellow. He worked for many years as a staff writer for the *Atlanta Journal-Constitution Magazine*. He has also contributed articles to many national publications, including *Esquire*, *Playboy*, *Premiere*, *GQ* and *the New York Times Magazine*. Oney lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Madeline Stuart.
  • Mike Smith is the current head coach for the NFL's Atlanta Falcons. He previously served as the defensive coordinator for the Jacksonville Jaguars since the 2003 season. In his first season as Falcons Head Coach, Smith was recipient of the NFL Coach of the Year Award by the Associated Press. Raised in Daytona Beach, Florida, Smith played linebacker at Father Lopez Catholic High School, earning All-State honors. Collegiately, he played for East Tennessee State University between 1977 and 1981, being named defensive MVP twice. Professionally, Smith briefly played for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League for the 1982 season before retiring. Smith decided to take up coaching after his playing days were over, and would serve at several Division I colleges before moving onto the NFL: San Diego State (1982-1985), Morehead State (1986), and Tennessee Tech (1987-1998). He was hired as linebackers coach for the Baltimore Ravens in 1999, and tutored such players as Ray Lewis, Peter Boulware, Jamie Sharper, and Adalius Thomas. Smith was a part of the 2000 Ravens that captured Super Bowl XXXV. On January 21, 2003, Mike Smith was named defensive coordinator for the Jacksonville Jaguars for the incoming head coach Jack Del Rio. In 2008, the Atlanta Falcons named him their Head Coach. In his first season with the team, Smith named rookie Matt Ryan the starting quarterback for the season opener against the Detroit Lions Smith was helped by players like Michael Turner, Roddy White, Michael Jenkins and John Abraham to carry the Falcons to their first playoff berth since 2004. The Falcons lost to the Arizona Cardinals in the wild-card round of the 2008 NFL playoffs. He was named the 2008 AP Coach of the year and NFL Coach of the Year beating out Miami Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano in the voting.
  • Greg Nickels became the 51st Mayor of the City of Seattle on January 1, 2002. He has focused his administration on four priorities aimed at making a difference in the lives of Seattle residents: Getting Seattle moving, keeping our neighborhoods safe, creating jobs and opportunities for all, and building strong families and healthy communities. * Rolling Stone* called Nickels the "Pied Piper" of mayors for his work to protect our climate. Mayor Nickels challenged mayors across the U.S. to join Seattle in advancing the goals of the Kyoto Protocol. To date, more than 950 mayors representing 81 million Americans have accepted the challenge to reduce global warming pollution by taking local action.
  • John Hulsman is the Alfred von Oppenheim Scholar in Residence at the German Council on Foreign Relations in Berlin, where he handles the transatlantic and Middle East portfolios. His expertise is particularly centered on forging common transatlantic polices regarding Iran, Iraq, the War on Terror, and the Middle East Peace Process. Having given over 1250 interviews, Hulsman is a frequent commentator on foreign policy issues. He makes regular appearances with major media outlets such as ABC, CBS, Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, PBS, Comedy Central and The BBC. He also has written over 150 published articles on international relations for publications such as The Financial Times, The International Herald Tribune, The Los Angeles Times, Policy Review, Newsweek, USA Today, Christian Science Monitor, Die Welt and Le Monde. In addition, Hulsman serves as a contributing editor for the prestigious foreign policy journal, The National Interest.
  • Karen Benjack Glatzer is president and founder of GH Consulting, a consultancy specializing in leadership development and organizational enhancement. She combines her expertise as a trained psychotherapist with 10 years in corporate America and brings her clients an understanding of human interaction and the complex nuances of the corporate landscape. Karen has expertise in one on one executive coaching, high performance team coaching, assessments, and executive and organizational change and alignment. Karen has Masters degrees in Social Work and Theology from Rutgers University and Princeton University, respectively.
  • Dabney Hollis, the publisher of Atlanta Woman magazine, has developed a reputation for building relevant value and increasing public awareness for businesses and their markets. During the early stages of her career at Turner Broadcasting, Inc., she demonstrated her management ability as CNN TV director of advertising and promotion, overseeing all aspects of marketing and strategic partnerships. Later, as senior account executive at WAGA-TV, she was responsible for a $14.8 million annual advertising budget and was credited for tremendously increasing revenues as well as selling the largest sports package at FOX5. She continued her varied experience in endeavors such as senior marketing consultant and interim vice president of marketing for WebMD and the G8 Summit host committee director of projects, acquiring a unique ability to articulate corporate strategy, drive business value and ultimately propel ventures to success. In her role as publisher of Atlanta Woman magazine, Dabney brings a tremendous combination of strategic, analytical and change management skills that allow her to foster innovation and create positive momentum. She continues to advance the magazine as the top resource for professional and civic-minded women in all stages of their corporate or entrepreneurial careers. Dabney is active throughout the community as a board member of the Girl Scout Council of Northwest Georgia, past president of the Alzheimer’s Society of Atlanta, market and benefactor chair of the High Museum Wine Auction, and chair of the 2007 Lovett School auction, among many others. She was awarded the Outstanding Volunteer Award at the Girls Outdoor Adventure for Leadership, was named Volunteer of the Year for the St. Mary’s School, and was featured in Swim With the Dolphins, a book on businesswomen by Connie Glaser.
