  • Shannon French, PhD became Director of the Inamori International Center for Ethics and Excellence in 2008. She is the Inamori Professor in Ethics and tenured faculty in the Department of Philosophy. Dr. French was previously on the civilian faculty of the U.S. Naval Academy (1997-2008) and was Associate Chair of the Department of Leadership, Ethics, and Law. She received a B.A. degree from Trinity University, San Antonio, Texas and her Ph.D. from Brown University. Dr. French’s research and scholarly interests include military ethics, leadership ethics, professional ethics, moral psychology, biomedical ethics, and environmental ethics. She has published numerous articles and book chapters. Her 2003 book, *The Code of the Warrior: Exploring Warrior Values, Past and Present*, includes a forward by Senator John McCain. Dr. French is Associate Editor of the international Journal of Military Ethics and of the Encyclopedia of Global Justice. She has been a featured speaker in Japan, England, Italy, Canada, Norway, France, and Australia, and has participated in the public debate on recent issues in military ethics through articles or interviews in the *New York Times*, The *Chronicle of Higher Education*, the *San Francisco Chronicle*, the Boston Globe, the Toronto Globe and Mail, the *Christian Science Monitor*, the *Baltimore Sun*, and other publications, as well as appearances on *NPR (National Public Radio)* and affiliates, *BBC radio*, *CBS radio*, *C-SPAN*, *PBS* and *A&E*.
  • Cynthia A. Brown is an Assistant Professor of Legal Studies in the College of Health and Public Affairs at the University of Central Florida. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree, *magna cum laude*, from the University of Southern Mississippi and her law degree from Mississippi College School of Law. Following law school, she clerked for the Honorable David Bramlette, District Judge for the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi. Dr. Brown also holds a Master of Science degree in Economic Development and a Doctorate of Philosophy in the Administration of Justice, both earned from the University of Southern Mississippi. She practiced law with offices in Mississippi and Florida before leaving practice to join the Academy in 2006. Dr. Brown teaches Contracts, Courts, Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, Employment Discrimination Law, Law and the Legal Environment, and Law and Society. She has received national and regional awards for both her teaching and her research. Since 2001, Dr. Brown has served on the Board of Directors for the National Institute of Ethics, where she also contributes as an instructor and trainer. She frequently works with local, state and federal agencies in the areas of ethics, leadership and diversity. Dr. Brown is regarded as an expert in police ethics and has traveled extensively working with both state and federal law enforcement agencies across the United States.

In his most recent assignment, was accountable for oversight of Allianz Life HR and other ancillary businesses, prior to becoming EVP of Azoa HR (Allianz Life and Fireman’s Fund).   • Daniel K. Williams is an assistant professor of History at the University of West Georgia and the author of *God’s Own Party: The Making of the Christian Right*. He blogs at Politico. He was also an adjunct professor at Rhode Island College and University of Rhode Island, College of Continuing Education, both in Providence, RI. He was a summer school instructor and teaching assistant at Brown.
  • After 27 years working at the Waikiki Aquarium, Carlson joined the Georgia Aquarium and was part of the original team that designed the Aquarium. Carlson is an avid SCUBA diver, underwater photographer and videographer. He has published several scientific articles on numerous topics including descriptions of new species of reef fishes, telemetry work on chambered nautilus and culture methods for corals in aquariums. Carlson is also co-author of “Bringing the Ocean to Atlanta: The Creation of the Georgia Aquarium,” which contains hundreds of beautiful photographs and details the incredible journey from Bernie Marcus’ vision to the reality of the world’s largest aquarium.
  • Snorrason is an Icelandic graduate student, historian, journalist, and activist who first became involved with WikiLeaks via a public chat room. As a board member of the Icelandic Digital Freedom Society he invited WikiLeaks representatives to a meeting. Julian Assange and Daniel Domscheit-Berg accepted his invitation. Following management disagreements with WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, Snorrason and Domscheit-Berg established OpenLeaks
  • Gregory Adams is the Director of Oxfam America’s Aid Effectiveness Team. He has more than ten years of experience working for members of the US House of Representatives covering national security and foreign affairs. He most recently served as legislative director for Representative Diane E. Watson of Los Angeles, who is a member of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs and vice chair of the Subcommittee on Africa and Global Health. In that role, he helped craft Representative Watson's positions on the Millennium Challenge Corporation, the F process, and other dimensions of US foreign aid. He has a B.A. in political science from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
  • William Dorcena is a Ford Hall Forum board member and the President and CEO of CenaMaven a public relations and marketing firm. Mr. Dorcena co-founded the Boston Haitian Reporter in 2001. The newspaper stands as New England's leading source for news about the region's growing Haitian-American communities
  • Angela Bruce-Raeburn, is Oxfam America's Senior Policy Advisor for Humanitarian Response-Haiti. Prior to Oxfam Angela served as Chief Executive Officer/President of Junior Achievement of Sacramento Inc, a non-profit providing financial literacy and entrepreneurship skills to young people. A Congressional Black Caucus Fellow in the Office of Representative Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick from Michigan from 2006 to 2007, Bruce-Raeburn focused on issues related to human trafficking and modern day slavery. Bruce-Raeburn was previously a two-time Rotary International award winner as an Ambassadorial Scholar at the Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium and a Peace Fellow at the University of Bradford in Bradford England. Fluent in French, Bruce-Raeburn holds three Masters Degrees, in Public Administration, Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution.
  • Rachel Kleinfeld is the CEO and President of the Truman National Security Project. Previously, as a Senior Consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton, Kleinfeld worked on energy security, terrorism, homeland security, and trade and security issues. As a consultant at CSIS, she has written on citizen preparedness for bioterrorism. A Rhodes Scholar and a Truman Scholar, Kleinfeld received her B.A. from Yale University and her Master’s and Doctorate of Philosophy in International Relations from St. Antony's College at Oxford.
  • Carl Ferenbach is the cofounder and Managing Director of Berkshire Partners. Prior to that, he was a Managing Director of Merrill Lynch, where he headed its Mergers and Acquisitions Department. Ferenbach has served as the Chairman of the Board of the Environmental Defense Fund since 2008, and as a board member since 2000. He founded the High Meadows Foundation and the High Meadows Fund in 2004, both of which address environmental sustainability and support organizations and programs committed to a better environment. Ferenbach is a trustee of Princeton University and serves on the Board of Dean’s Advisors at Harvard Business School.
