Chet Michalak, Raytheon historian and archivist, tracks women's participation in U.S. labor.
The Suffragette movement, a 100-year struggle for women’s right to vote, ended in partial victory in 1920, and was quickly followed by a home front effort just two decades later that dramatically increased the ranks of female workers supporting the war effort. Women answered the call for workers seen on recruitment posters, newspaper and in radio ads.
