Chelsea-based documentary photographer Melissa Shook has been capturing candid images of her often difficult-to-access subjects for decades. Her subjects include women who live in homeless shelters, immigrants and the migrant workers at Suffolk Downs in East Boston.
Callie Crossley spoke with Melissa Shook on Boston Public Radio about her photography and her book " My Suffolk Downs ," which captures the migrant workers and immigrants who work behind the scenes.
