NOVA is back in our Boston Public Library studio for a lecture and discussion about algorithmic bias and how Facebook’s ad delivery system might be biased along gender and racial lines for important ads such as housing and jobs. Computer scientist and Northeastern University PhD student Muhammad Ali provides a general introduction to the problems of algorithmic bias and a recent case study of Facebook ads.
