What does leadership mean to you? That is a question that WGBH News continues to ask as President Donald Trump navigates his first 100 days in office. We’ve had dozens of conversations about leadership with people at our studio at the Boston Public Library as part of our ongoing series, Hear at the Library.

Recently, we spoke with a few of the Boston area’s most accomplished female business leaders. Here is some of what we heard.

"It's very much like parenthood...You are supposed to be the voice of reason and the mature influence. You don't get to just react. You need to be the most mature person in the building at all times."
SARAH LAWSON, Owner of S+H Construction

"Decision making is huge, and trust in yourself. If you really believe in something, and you want to make a decision, make that decision. It might be a good decision, it might be a bad decision, but you've made a decision."
BARBARA LYNCH, owner and chef of eight area restaurants
