Broadcast Alert: WGBH 2 is temporarily transmitting from a standby antenna as a result of a major failure in the combined top transmission antenna at the Needham tower site, which occurred on April 8th and affected WGBH 2, WGBX 44—our multicast services World, Create, and Kids—as well as commercial stations WBZ, WCVB, and WSBK. The coverage area for Channel 2 will be reduced while we broadcast from the standby antenna. If you watch our broadcast services over-the-air and are not currently able to receive WGBH 2 or WGBX 44, please try rescanning your channels and/or making minor adjustments to the position of your antenna, which may allow you to reacquire the signal if you are within the broadcast coverage area.
