Bringing Commercial Farming Back To Boston

For much of Boston's history, agriculture was a thriving business, but Allendale Farm in Chestnut Hill is the lone historic farm left. Now there’s a movement to bring commercial farming back to the city by challenging our ideas of what a farm can be. 


Jessie Banhazl is the founder of Green City Growers, which installs raised-bed vegetable gardens for homes and businesses.  

Brendan Shea is an owner of Recover Green Roofs, which builds rooftop farms and green walls.
