Sen. Cory Booker sent a letter this weekend, signed by eight other Democratic presidential candidates, calling on the Democratic party to change the rules about who gets a spot on the stage for future debates. The signatories contend that party rules are at least partially to blame for the formally diverse field of candidates being winnowed down to what will be an almost-all-white debate stage this week.
To discuss this and more, Jim Braude was joined by Sydney Asbury, principal of DNM Solutions and former deputy chief of staff for former Gov. Deval Patrick, and Nadeem Mazen, former Cambridge city councilor and founder of Fabrk.io.
