U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren joined Morning Edition's Bob Seay this morning to talk about President Obama's State of the Union speech last night.

On Gun Control:

"I have no doubt that a majority of people in Congress will put some restraint on guns, and help us bring down gun violence" she said. "But we've got to have a vote."

On the President's Negotiations with Congress:

"I think he's going straight to the American people, and he's saying 'Here's my vision of how we build the future,' and invites everyone in the room to come along with that."

On Immigration Reform:

"Everyone got to their feet for that. And I took that very much as a tangible sign that there is a recognition throughout that room that the days of sitting with their arms crossed and saying, 'No, no, no,' are over."
