Trump Bets On Multiple Republican Convention Speeches To Make 2020 Pitch
The Republican National Convention began Monday, with a mix of virtual speeches and in-person events, including a gathering of 300 delegates in a North Carolina ballroom to renominate President Donald Trump as top of the party’s ticket for November. The week is expected to include multiple speeches from Trump, as well as appearances from his family members, his staunchest allies in Congress, and some conservative internet figures. In for Jim Braude, Adam Reilly was joined by Jess Bidgood, national politics reporter for The Boston Globe, and Peter Ubertaccio, Dean of Stonehill College’s School of Arts & Sciences.
This week, Greater Boston interviews the eight candidates running in the Democratic primary for Massachusetts' Fourth Congressional District to replace Rep. Joe Kennedy III. On Monday, Adam Reilly spoke with candidates Becky Grossman, who currently serves as an at-large member of the Newton City Council and previously was an assistant district attorney for Middlesex County, and Jake Auchincloss, who is currently a Newton City Councilor and previously was a captain in the Marines.
