A Plan For Equal Pay?
Presidential candidate Sen. Kamala Harris has released an unprecedented plan to address the gender pay gap by requiring companies to disclose what they pay employees. If they are shown to have gender disparities, they'll have to pay a fine. Her proposal is just the latest in a decades-long push by legislators to ensure gender equity, starting with President Kennedy’s signing of the Equal Pay Act in 1963 and continuing to Connecticut Rep. Rosa DeLauro’s repeated attempts to pass the Paycheck Fairness Act. What policies should lawmakers employ in trying to address this issue?

‘Supreme Revenge’ And The History Of The GOP’s Move To Push The Courts Right
Since the 2016 presidential debates, Donald Trump has made it clear he will nominate judges who are opposed to abortion. He’s kept that promise since taking office, appointing conservative Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh, who are both expected to vote against Roe v. Wade if it comes before the court. But the Republican party’s focus on electing conservatives to the court started decades earlier.

A new FRONTLINE documentary, "Supreme Revenge," follows that history, starting with President Ronald Reagan’s nomination of right-wing judge Robert H. Bork to the Supreme Court, which was ultimately shut down by Senate Democrats, and leading all the way up to today’s challenges to Roe in states like Alabama and Georgia.
