In the wake of George Floyd’s murder and national protests for racial justice, a lot of the nation’s corporations have gone public with support for racial justice. These corporations have pledged big bucks, donating millions to racial justice organizations. And consumers are paying attention to how brands publicly react to this moment. But are these corporations donating money as a way to burnish their public image, or is it a sign that companies are ready to use their power to address systemic racism?
