George Floyd was laid to rest in Houston Tuesday, two weeks after a police officer killed him by kneeling on his neck for nearly nine minutes in Minneapolis. The days that have followed have seen widespread protests in the United States, where calls for a wide range of reforms or, from some activists, defunding of the police, have taken hold.
