Spiritual advisor to Oprah Winfrey, Marianne Williamson, kicked off her campaign for president last month – but this isn’t her first foray into electoral politics. She ran and lost an independent bid for Congress in California in 2014. Her campaign platform covers a wide variety of issues, all with the intent of addressing what she calls a “stage four cancer” in American democracy.
