The media world was rocked this week when a series of at least a dozen pipe bombs were sent to high-level former government officials and CNN’s headquarters in New York. The attempted attacks immediately sparked finger-pointing, with some in the press blaming the president’s anti-media rhetoric for inspiring the mail bomber and Donald Trump turning the tables back on the mainstream media.
