President Donald Trump declared on Twitter this morning, “as stated by numerous legal scholars, I have the absolute right to PARDON myself.” Republican Senate Judiciary Chair Chuck Grassley disagreed, telling reporters, “If I were President of the United States and I had a lawyer that told me I could pardon myself, I think I would hire a new lawyer.”

While the legal implications for the president remain to be seen, survivors of the school shooting in Parkland, Florida, are making sure their ideas are front and center. They’re preparing for a two-month summer tour, to continue to press for gun reform and to encourage young people to vote in the upcoming midterm elections.
