Somerville Mayor Joseph Curtatone and Aeronaut Brewery's Jason McCool joined Boston Public Radio on Friday to speak about ' pindrop sessions' — a collaborative classical-ish music event series presented by AERONAUT, WGBH and WCRB — and to take part in our weekly news quiz.

McCool described what happens at a "pindrop session": "Guests get some delicious beer, hopefully meet a friend and experience something very beautiful," McCool said. "The series is very unusual in terms of collaborative opportunities. Every event is going to be radically unlike the one that came before it and the one that will come after."

Mayor Curtatone will participate in the second "pindrop sessions" event of the season on Nov. 3 to speak medieval Italian alongside Blue Heron choir.
