Not even the wet, cold gloom of Boston weather can quash the excitement of what many people nearly consider a holiday in New England: opening day at Fenway Park.

Fans began swarming the ball park Tuesday morning in preparation for the game against the Toronto Blue Jays and to celebrate the Red Sox' 2018 championship season with a World Series ring ceremony.
