BOSTON (AP) — A winter storm warning has been posted for much of southern New England as the region braces for another round of snow.

Forecasters expect the storm to begin Sunday evening and continue through the early morning hours on Monday before winding down. Up to 10 inches of snow are possible in some areas.

The storm could make for treacherous driving conditions during the morning commute.

A number of school systems including Boston and Providence, Rhode Island, have already announced that schools will be closed on Monday, with many others likely to follow suit.

Several communities in Connecticut, including Bridgeport and Milford, have declared snow emergencies. Parking bans will also take effect in many places.

Forecasters say a changeover to rain could occur Monday in southeastern Massachusetts and Cape Cod, keeping snow accumulations lower.
