Many are excited about General Electric's decision to relocate its global headquarters to Boston, considering it a coup for the city and the state. But in western Massachusetts, where GE once had a major presence, the company has a less than stellar legacy. It's been fighting efforts to clean up the Housatonic River, which it's accused of polluting over the course of its time in the city of Pittsfield.
