Boston Police Commissioner William Evans ( @bostonpolice) talks the Roslindale shooting and other issues around the city. He responds to Imam Ibrahim Rahim's claims about unreleased footage of the shooting, stating "there's nothing being hidden here." Evans continues, "I don't know what he's talking about except [Usaama] walking longer in the parking lot." Evans states that there are about three seconds missing from the video shown to the public, and he would have no problem releasing the full video to the public.
In response to Imam Rahim's claims that a BPD officer brandished his weapon before the confrontation, Evans states, "What this video shows is our officers were clearly being put in fear," Evans says, "I think that everyone can draw their own conclusions here that the officers were getting hit with a threat here and they had to respond."
