In March, the MBTA announced a yearlong pilot program would keep trains and some buses running until 3 a.m. on weekends. The agency had experimented with late-night BUS service back in 2001, but it was discontinued four years later due to low ridership. Now, halfway into the new pilot program, reporter Edgar B.
