The events that took place two weeks ago were tragic in every aspect. As a socially aware hip-hop artist and proud Bostonian, it felt wrong not to write the uplifting piece 'We Get Up' for the people.
The sensitivity surrounding this matter is alarming and will be for a while. So instead of dwelling on the past, this song is meant to bring people together and spread hope for the future.
