Modern Renaissance man Alan Cumming has won a Tony for his performance in Cabaret, made history for playing the first gay lead in a broadcast network show ("Instinct"), appeared numerous times on the big screen, opened a nightclub in the Lower East Side, and advocated for causes ranging from Scottish independence, to LGBT rights, to animal welfare.
