Comedy is out, and history is in at the White House Correspondents' Dinner. Earlier this week, the association announced it is dropping the traditional comedian headliner and, instead, is bringing in Pulitzer Prize-winning author Ron Chernow. The switch has raised questions about the role of comedy in the Trump era, and whether the tone and tenor of humor has shifted. Jim Braude was joined by Nell Scovell, a comedy writer and contributor to previous White House Correspondents' Dinner jokes, and Boston-based stand-up comedian Ken Reid.
