FiredAfter hosting ‘On Point’ for 16 years, Tom Ashbrook was fired this week after WBUR and Boston University following an investigation into his workplace conduct. Emily Rooney sat down with Ashbrook to discuss his dismissal.

Dueling BoycottsThe Boston Globe and WEEI are at it again. After one of the radio station’s hosts used a mocking Asian accent on the air, columnist Shirley Leung called for advertisers to drop the station. Some did and, on Thursday, the WEEI fired back.

Getting FrostyWas the media’s coverage of North Korea's“Olympics charm offensive” too complimentary? That's the argument from conservative critics, who claim the mainstream media went gaga over Kim Jong-Un's sister and the North Korean cheerleaders dispatched to the games. On closer examination, though, their accusations may not hold up.

Rants and Raves: A review of the week in media.

On this week’s edition of Beat the Press, Emily Rooney was joined by Adam Reilly and Callie Crossley of WGBH News, Dan Kennedy of Northeastern University and Jon Keller of WBZ.
