President Donald Trump is on his first international trip since taking office. He made history today in becoming the first sitting U.S. president to visit Jerusalem’s Western Wall. He also met with Israel’s president and prime minister and began to wade into the political firestorm of Mideast peace.
Over the weekend the topic was terrorism, where he spoke to more than 50 Muslim nations in Saudi Arabia in a notably different ton than he did on the campaign trail. Freelance journalist Jennifer Braceras and Michael Curry, former president of the Boston NAACP and current chair of the national NAACP Advocacy and Policy Committee, joined Jim Braude to discuss the president’s trip and what appears like a shift in rhetoric.
