Lawmakers and Immigrant advocacy groups are reacting with words and actions to President Donald Trump's executive action on Immigration to remove federal funding to sanctuary cities across the country.

Susan Church is  the Chair of AILA,  American Immigration Lawyers Association of New England. She says her office has been preparing for this action since the election.

People are already under the Obama Administration living underground because of the enforcement efforts of the Obama Administration. Now people are just absolutely terrified. They don't know what to do. They don't know where to go.

Church says they've been drafting lawsuits and organizing advocacy efforts to combat what they view as draconian measures by President Donald Trump.

Church says now more than ever immigrants are fearful.

"People are already under the Obama Administration living underground because of the enforcement efforts of the Obama Administration. Now people are just absolutely terrified. They don't know what to do. They don't know where to go."

Church says there's more support for immigration in the country than Trump's executive order demonstrates and laws that will protect immigrants.
