After nearly fifty years in business, Somerville mainstay Johnny D's Uptown shut its doors yesterday. The bar and music club's sendoff felt like a New Orleans jazz funeral, complete with brass bands and a parade through Davis Square. Presiding over all of it was owner Carla DeLellis, who announced she'd be closing Johnny D's back in July. From longtime patrons returning for one last drink to ex-employees returning for one last shift, Johnny D's final weekend brought all those who loved the venue together for a raucous farewell.
