Kennedy, founder of the Kennedy Forum, quoted John F. Kennedy by saying,  "we need no longer treat the mentally ill as alien to our affections," adding his uncle's quote accurately depicts society's stigma and how the mentally ill and those with substance abuse disorders are viewed today.

The  Forumis joining the Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) to launch  new public opinion research on the state of  U.S. mental health and advance a dialog on the importance of a holistic approach to patient-centered care that has a mind and body approach.
