In one of the most exciting championship matches in the history of HIGH SCHOOL QUIZ SHOW, Belmont High School was crowned the Season 12 State Champion after a razor-thin 1070-1060 victory over two-time defending champion Boston Latin School. This is Belmont’s first Championship title on GBH’s academic competition for Massachusetts high school students. Dedicated to the late Alex Trebek, former host of Jeopardy!, the match featured a Jeopardy!-themed Category Round. Hollywood actors Kristen Bell and Bill Hader each had cameo appearances in the episode. This season's hybrid production model kept participants safe, with Billy Costa hosting from our Brighton studio and students competing remotely.
