Tonight we honor the life work and memory of Congressman John Lewis with these special programs:
At 9pm on WGBH 2, John Lewis—Get In The Way follows the journey of civil rights hero, congressman and human rights champion. At the Selma March, he came face-to-face with club-wielding troopers and exemplified non-violence. This program has been updated to include an introduction by Henry Louis Gates, Jr., to acknowledge the passing of Congressman Lewis.
At 10pm on WGBH 2, Congressman John Lewis and Andrew Aydin: The Story of March, is a discussion with Congressman Lewis and his co-author Andrew Aydin about their seminal graphic novel trilogy based on Lewis' life as a civil rights leader.
