30 years ago today, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum was relieved of 13 works of art by thieves disguised as police officers. Today’s mural pays homage to the missing treasures with Rembrandt’s Storm on the Sea of Galilee, A Lady and Gentleman in Black, and Vermeer’s The Concert.

The FBI’s investigation of the theft continues to this day and offers a generous reward for information leading to the recovery of the stolen pieces. Learn more here.
