Recorded in concert in April 2008, Osmo Vänskä (shown) leads one of the world's great orchestras, the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, in Sibelius's Second Symphony. This performance demonstrates what makes this orchestra special: a sound that combines elegance and virtuosic clarity. Later this season, the Celebrity Series presents the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra in concert.

Tune in as English conductor Andrew Davis (shown) leads the Boston Symphony Orchestra and American soloist Joshua Bell in Brahms’s Violin Concerto. Also on the LIVE program are Debussy’s Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun and Stravinsky’s Symphony in Three Movements.
