When Hitler rises to power in 1933, he sets about rebuilding Germany's armed forces, focusing on the Navy. Hitler pushes Erich Raeder, the head of the German Navy, to supersize its current fleet and build ships of unparalleled size. But Germany doesn’t have the infrastructure needed to build these ships, so a new infrastructure must be created.
