Tim LaSalle

Co-founder and Adjunct Professor, Center for Regenerative Agriculture and Resilient Systems, California State University Chico

Dr. Timothy J. LaSalle is an international researcher, speaker, and promoter of regenerative agriculture to directly address climate, hunger, water, and farmer’s profits. He is currently Co-founder and Adjunct Professor for the Center for Regenerative Agriculture and Resilient Systems, California StateUniversity Chico. Among other leadership roles, LaSalle previously served as the first CEO of Rodale Institute, Executive Director of the Allan Savory Center for Holistic Management, an international non-profit whose mission is to restore and regenerate deteriorating landscapes, and as consultant, advisor, and research coordinator for the Howard G. Buffett Foundation in Africa on soils and food security for smallholder farmers he was able to further evolve this work towards biological restorations of soils directed to resolve the issues of hunger and climate crisis. As CEO of the California Agricultural Leadership Program. LaSalle arranged educational leadership programs in more than 80 countries with heads of state, ministers, community leaders, and he personally became exposed to and a student of many of humanity’s global challenges. This exposure, especially to global ecological decline, birthed the dreams, internal tension, and questions of what this apparent human impulse is to destroy that which sustains life. In partial pursuit of this passion, LaSalle turned to depth psychology to include the unconscious realms of humanities relationship with creation and titled his PhD dissertation Awakening to Ecocide. Tim LaSalle is professor emeritus of California Polytechnic State University.
