Maria Stephanos

Maria Stephanos anchors FOX25 News at ten and eleven o’clock, as well as FOX25 News at six o’clock. Stephanos has been with FOX25 since 1997, beginning as a general assignment reporter and later became the station's main anchor. Stephanos came to FOX25 from WJAR-TV in Providence, RI where she covered spot news. Her career has included reporting for WCBS radio, WABC radio, NPR radio and WNBC radio. She has covered state and national elections, Democratic and Republican conventions, and a variety of breaking news stories. Stephanos received an Associated Press award in 2000 for her feature reporting. She holds a Master's degree in Mass Communications from Emerson College. When not at work, Stephanos is an avid supporter of many charitable organizations including Action for Boston Community Development, The Massachusetts Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, The American Heart Association, Rosie’s Place, The American Cancer Society, Relay for Life, and The Make-A-Wish Foundation.
