Dan Lothian

Executive Producer, The World

Dan Lothian is the Executive Producer for The World. He also lectures on Journalism, ethics and news literacy at Northeastern University in Boston. Prior to joining The World, Lothian was a White House Correspondent at CNN where he also covered political campaigns and breaking news during his more than decade long run at the network. Lothian was a key member of CNN’s Peabody Award-winning “best political team on television.” He covered the 2004, 2008 and 2012 presidential races traveling with more than a half dozen candidates. His award-winning career has taken him to more than 50 countries including Israel, Myanmar and Colombia. Lothian started in radio as a teenager, worked in local TV stations across the country, then launched onto the national stage as a correspondent with NBC News, the Today Show and MSNBC.
