Former President Donald Trump has one week to surrender to authorities in Georgia on a slew of criminal charges related to his efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election results in that state. In addition to fraud and forgery, Trump and his 18 codefendants are all charged with racketeering or RICO, offenses which have frequently been used to go after mob bosses.

On Talking Politics, Adam Reilly is joined by Boston University law professor Christopher Robertson, who assesses the legal system's approach to the former president and the level of peril he currently faces, and Susie Banikarim, editor at large at the Meteor, who sizes up the press's ongoing attempts to cover Trump in a responsible rather than a reactive manner.
