It's not unusual for political candidates to pick running mates that campaign for office on the same ticket, like presidents and vice presidents. But a group of candidates all vying for seats on the Boston City Council are forming a different kind of coalition, with three candidates — two incumbents and a hopeful — all sharing office space. Incumbents Kim Janey and Michelle Wu are sharing a campaign office with candidate Alejandra St. Guillen, who is running for the same seat as Wu. They say the move is a new model of doing local politics that emphasizes supporting each other with the goal of advancing a shared vision for the city.
