The DNC decision barring Fox News from hosting debates in 2020 has put journalists in an awkward position. Some are defending their Fox colleagues, like Bret Baier and Shephard Smith, while others say it’s hard to dismiss Jane Mayer’s contention in The New Yorker that Fox is a White House propaganda arm.
